For Chinese New Year, I designed a festive post featuring traditional New Year colors. I incorporated a dragon graphic, which I carefully cropped from a different image, and surrounded it with cloud graphics to create the illusion of it flying through the sky. To enhance this effect, I added a subtle movement to the dragon graphic, bringing the scene to life and capturing the dynamic spirit of the celebration.
For MLK Day, I created a visually striking post using a distinctive shade of purple, inspired by a recent self-portrait of Oprah Winfrey. To offer a fresh perspective on Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, I selected a powerful quote from his "Keep Moving from This Mountain" address at Spelman College, instead of the commonly used "I Have a Dream" quote. This choice aimed to highlight a different aspect of Dr. King's inspiring messages and to emphasize Community Nexus's commitment to investing in education within the community.
For my first post for Community Nexus, I found inspiration in a firework graphic that reminded me of an elephant bathing itself with water. Since the Community Nexus logo features an elephant, I decided to create a celebratory New Year's Day post. The design depicts the elephant playfully bathing in fireworks, symbolizing joy and celebration, and extends warm wishes for a happy new year to everyone.
